Hello! My name is Ida. I am 17 years old and live in Falun with my large family. When I was fifteen years old, I accompanied my father to the shooting range for the first time and that's where my interest in shooting began. I am in the second year of high school in the economics program.
Since I started shooting I have always heard about Norma, but it was only when dad explained that it’s the company that makes the ammunition we shoot with that I understood what connection we had with Norma.
My preparation for a competition season is to keep track of my equipment and that everything connected to the weapon works, such as making sure that the weapon is sighted in. Then I also believe that it is important to have continuous trainings to keep going even when it’s off season, to continue developing and getting to know the weapon so that the competitions will then go as well and smoothly as possible.
I set up my training as structured as possible, already predetermined exercises that my dad and I, and other fellow shooters have agreed on in order to get as much quality training as possible. This has worked well for us, but I am quite new to the sport and am still learning about preparation, training and competition.
The training that I like the most is when you have fewer shots and more movements. Put the focus on that each shot should sit and that the movements should be performed as smoothly as possible.
My weapon consists of an impact precision 737r lock and IBI barrel in caliber 6 mm Norma BR, my piston is a grayboe piston Ridgeback. I also have a scope from Vortex Razor 4.5 - 27x56.
I trust dad Marcus (who handles the loads) when it comes to different products, and he has always said that Norma's bullets and podwers are the best. I am happy with my Norma ammo and find it reliable.
My goal right now is mostly focused on qualifying for the World Championships in Colorado, USA, in 2024 by shooting well at all qualifying events this season. Being able to develop as much as possible in the coming year is also a big goal and a step towards the big goal, which is the World Championships 2024.
